We just returned from Lake Powell with my sister Trina and her family. This was an adventure!! We decided to do the same thing that we did last year and just camp on the beach. Last year we had a lot of fun but this year was a lot more work for some reason. We are members of Toyshare and were able to take a boat and two jetskis down with us. The jetski's were alot of fun but the boat was a huge disapointment!!
Once we got our camp put together we decided to go sight seeing. When we returned to our camp we found these huge black birds had distroyed our camp and eaten almost all of our food that wasn't in coolers. They even managed to put a hole through one of our rubbermade containers. We had sand everywhere because of the wind and then it was hot! Needless to say with as much work as it was we did have fun and the kids are already talking about going again!! Now we all just need another vacation to recover from this vacation!!!

Oh boy! You know how I love Lake Powell...ahem. Looks so hot too! Sorry about the troubles! At least you got to vacation with your hubby who works his tail off otherwise right?
Do you think next year you all can come out and visit us in MUCH cooler (but not so scenic) Michigan and help me get these kids of mine to tub? Even slow would be great. None of my kids will get behind our boat (at least as of last year, the boat has stayed in the garage this summer) but seem to prefer watching mom and dad 'board or go swimming/ goofing off at the sand bar.
The birds sound like they had a great picnic. Sorry it was at your expense. Hopefully next year will be better for you all!
